Several annual events take place in Greenville, SC throughout the year attracting numerous local and out-of-town visitors. Greenville offers many family-friendly festivals such as Arthisphere, Fall for Greenville, Moonlight Movies, Downtown Alive and much more.

Greenville hosts weekly and recurring outdoor events and concerts. Music, movies, market stalls and more are open to the public. Most of the Greenville events are free. 

Every Summer Greenville hosts Downtown Alive! Every Thursday evening Greenville comes alive with an outdoor street party featuring live musical entertainment with varied sounds including rock, blues, funk and cover bands. Main Street serves as the perfect backdrop to this free event series where people can unwind by meeting up with friends, making new acquaintances and networking. Greenville also hosts Main Street Fridays. Come and wind up the work week listening and dancing to the best in music entertainment performed by local, regional and national talent. 

Also during the Summer, the Moonlight Movies Series is perfect for you to watch your favorite classic movies under the stars. You can also take your lawn chairs and a picnic supper to enjoy a variety of musical concerts featuring jazz, country, patriotic, rock & roll, blues and reggae at the Blue Reedy River Concerts.

During the Holiday Season, the Courtyard by Marriott Village Green in Downtown becomes an open-air ice skating rink – the only one of its kind in Upstate South Carolina.
